The John Ruedy Immunodeficiency Clinic (IDC) at St. Paul’s Hospital is a collaboration between the BC-CfE and Providence Health Care (PHC). The IDC brings together an interdisciplinary team of family doctors, specialists, nurses, pharmacists, counsellors, social workers, and nutritionists to provide a broad range of primary care and support services for HIV-positive patients.
For information and appointments, call (604) 806-8060. You do not need a referral to visit the IDC. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and provides after-hours medical support through an on-call physician.
In 2009, the IDC received the Excellence in Quality and Patient Safety Award from the BC Patient and Safety Quality Council in recognition of its innovative model of care and outstanding contributions to improving the health of HIV-positive individuals.
