Together, we can stop HIV & AIDS

Key Initiatives

UHRI LogoThe Addiction and Urban Health Research Initiative unofficially began in 1996 with the Vancouver Injection Drug Users Study (VIDUS). Since then, our research efforts have greatly expanded. We now oversee a network of studies that have been developed to help identify and understand the many factors that affect the health of urban populations today. The ultimate goal of our research is to improve the health of individuals and communities.
