Rainier


Rainier Evaluation

The GSH Initiative of BC-CfE is evaluating the Rainier Women’s Program (2010-2013), a supportive housing and treatment program operated by VCH and Portland Hotel Society for marginalized women who engage in survival sex work, struggle with trauma, drug use and poverty.

 


International Gender & HIV Collaborative

The GSH Initiative research team is involved in a number of international collaborations including a gender & HIV research partnership with TASO Uganda and the CAPT Network focused on gender equity, partner violence and transactional sex in the context of HIV and HAART. Members of GHS are also involved in the evaluation of female sex work and HIV prevention program, Avahan India AIDS Initiative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; and gender equity and HIV prevention and treatment research in Southern Africa with the Physicians for Human Rights.
