Together, we can stop HIV & AIDS

Our Work

The British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE) is committed to improving the health of all HIV-positive British Columbians through the development and dissemination of comprehensive research and treatment programs for HIV and related diseases.  Since our establishment in 1992, we have become a world leader in cutting-edge HIV/AIDS research.

Our internationally recognized team of interdisciplinary professionals is unique in North America for its integration of treatment, education, and research, and the procurement and distribution of life-saving antiretroviral medications.

Recently, the BC-CfE has undertaken an ambitious program to dramatically reduce HIV transmission by expanding HAART access to all clinically eligible individuals in British Columbia (STOP HIV/AIDS).  Through these initiatives the BC-CfE continues to be a provincial, national, and international leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
