BC Centre in HIV/AIDS Primary Care Guidelines

How to use this site

This site is for physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals to guide their treatment of HIV+ patients. If you are an HIV+ patient, Section 7 is written for you.

This is a website, but it has been designed to look and act like an app. It is optimized for use on mobile devices such as iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, or Windows Phone. The controls are designed to be as intuitive as possible and mostly do not need explanation, but some of the more complex uses are explained here.

Navigating the site

This site is divided into sections, marked by the section (§) symbol. All sections are listed on the front page. To search for a specific keyword, press the search button in the top right corner. To return to the front page at any time, press the home button in the top left corner.

Using abbreviations

If you see an abbreviation or acronym you don't understand, touch or click the word and it will change to show the full term.

Example: HIV (click or touch)

Using tables

Because tables can become quite large, this site rearranges the information for easy viewing on a small screen. On your mobile device, you will notice that tables are displayed with a drop-down select menu which lets you choose which table row you are interested in. Only one row at a time is displayed.

Here is a demonstration table:

  Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
Row 1 A B C
Row 2 D E F
Row 3 G H I
Row 4 J K L

Note: on larger screens, such as on a desktop or laptop computer, the table will be displayed in full.
